Cottlesville is a small Outport community with a population just short of 400 and is situated at the end of the road four miles from the town of Summerford where there is a well stocked supermarket, chemist and hardware store together with medical clinic, garage and convenience store.

The house is built on a natural sloping rock with views across the bay. Being so located it is never subject to flooding; nor is it over exposed to high winds.
