About the town:
Sharbot Lake is located 185 km west of Ottawa, 72 km north of Kingston, and just 35 km west of Perth. Toronto is 290 km away.
This area is known as the Land O' lakes region because of the numerous lakes in the region.
Everything can be bought locally, fishing rods, bait etc. to get ready for some of the best fishing you ever experienced. Sharbot Lake Village, located on the shores of the lake, is a small village. It offers grocery, hardware and variety stores, second hand store, pharmacy, post office, RBC, live bait shop, restaurants and motel, boat ramps and marina. There is an OPP station on highway 7 across from the beer and liquor stores.
Also included are: Gas stations, General store, Bakery, Conveniences store, vet, and Pets & Sears counter, Greyhounds bus, Hairdressers, Royal Canadian Legion, St Laurence College employment, Fitness center, Landscaping and a provincial camping ground.
A sandy beach and play area is located in the heart of the village. The Village of Sharbot Lake offers many services including a fire department. There is a medical center, seniors residence, community services, as well as, Community Living North Frontenac. Education is provided by a child care centre, nursery school, public school, secondary school, a catholic and separate school. An excellent library is located in the lower half of the new Central Frontenac Township offices.
